Despite the safety precautions in place in most competitive races, there’s always that possibility that something could go wrong. That wasn’t any more evident than in Round 4 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Cup that was held recently.
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Cup saw a massive accident during Round 4 of the season. From what we can tell, the number 22 Lamborghini Gallardo driven by Giorgio Bartocci went off into the gravel on the last turn.
The Giorgio’s side door flew open as the car span down the lane. When it finally came to a stop, the Gallardo turned into a fireball.
Fire crews took longer than expected to pull the driver from the wreck and were seen using hand held fire extinguishers to battle the blaze, in a time of 1 minute through the fire. Surprisingly, Bartocci survived the incident and is currently in intensive care with 1st degree burns and a fractured leg.
