This car first shaped Lamborghini. The Miura was the original sign of Lamborghini. Most of Lamborghini’s competitors were feared by this beast, shaping a mega 171 MPH by a 6.7 second boost to 0-60. This very prestigious car went to a limited 764 quantity from models P400, P400S, and P400SV from years 1966-1972.
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Miura, a brand new Miura concept was made for the American Museum of Television & Radio on January 5, 2006 alongside the Los Angeles Auto Show, though it was not present at the show itself. The Miura concept car officially debuted at the North American International Auto Show two weeks later.
Lamborghini president and CEO Stefan Winkelmann said that the concept would mark the Miura’s return to being produced once again, saying “The Miura was a celebration of our history, but Lamborghini is about the future. Retro design is not what we are here for. So we won’t do the Miura.”
